Just returned from my 'marathon shopping day'. I do it twice a month. Head to the city to the BIG stores and stock up for the next 14 days. Glories of fun. Today My Beloved and Robin went along. It is nice that my youngest is 4 and not 4 months - otherwise I'm not sure there would be 'marathon shopping day' at my house -or there would definitely be a babysitter involved.
I recently discovered that a Super Target opened up in the city in July. Way cool. I totally enjoy doing my grocery/household shopping there BUT it's WAY on the wrong side of town...if I need to go to Sam's Club for bulk items. Today was Sam's Club day. Which meant I had to shop at the 'crummy' Wal-Mart but oh well. I've decided to plan so I can do Sam's Club once every month or two so I can mostly shop at my new fav, Super Target.
After the grocery run, we had to stop to refuel HERE. Then, Mitch went to visit a gal from church who is the hospital while I got my nails done. No, I'm not heartless. She happens to be in the 'burn ward' (though it's not a burn issue) and we wouldn't be able to take Robin up so one of us had to stay out anyways. We decided to be efficient with our time. Robin sits nice while the lady saws my nails down and fills them up with more acrylic goo, so it works.
The nail place is at the Mall so I got some necessities HERE and we ended with lunch when Mitch got back. Then westward, down the interstate to get the girls from school before heading home for the evening. A good productive day.
It's dreary, gray and raining weather (has been all day) so we will eat soup and Pillsbury frozen dinner rolls (I will bake them!) and then I'm hoping to get the house picked up a bit and maybe even pull out the winter clothes before bed. The kids have been complaining of no pants clean (because there's only a couple out) and the teacher commented that Chandler needed to bring a warmer coat. Oh yeah, I guess it's more winter than summer nowadays.
I leave tomorrow after work but before the kids get out of school to the {dreaded} women's retreat. I need to have things pretty under control since Mitch and the girls will be meeting me on Saturday night where Mitch will minister at another church in the same town as the retreat. We will get home way late Saturday night and then church in the morning and youth group at our house Sunday night. Another full weekend. This is life.

Have fun at that retreat of yours. *wink*
So...Is there a picture of you anywhere on this here site? I want to see those dolled up nails of yours. just make sure they're near your face and all... so I can have a face to go with the blog name. ;)
OHHh!! That's right, I remember that picture b/c you so closely resemble a friend of mine. I tried to send her picture to you (in response to your comment) so you could see the similiarity, but it wouldn't go thru.
Sounds like a great day! And what did you end up fueling up on? Pumpkin Spice?
Nah, Caramel Macchiatto. I can only do Pumpkin Spice a couple times within it's season.
