Happy Birthday to you....

...happy birthday, dear beloved! Happy birthday to you!

Yes, today it's My Beloved's birthday. He'd rather I didn't tell you that. Or tell anyone that. Or make a big deal out of it. So we kept things pretty low key. Our family tradition is the birthday-bearer gets to choose where to eat out. Since Skeeter Barnes (crazy name I know, but it's good ol' mid-west fare) offers free kids meals on Mondays - we went out last night. Which left me to cook whatever he desired for tonight. Since he got his 'flesh-fix' last night, he asked for lasagna. We ended up inviting his good friend {for years} and his wife over for dinner and cake. A nice evening.

Well, I paid tribute to my wonderful husband a couple posts back but let me offer just a few more not-so-quirky things about the man I love...

~I'm pretty sure he can fix or build anything given enough time. We usually don't have to spend money at the auto repair place or pay a plumber or appliance fix-it guy or Geek Squad, My Beloved has it all under control. The home we live in now is a manufactured home brought in by us and then slightly remodeled, totally painted and floors {and countertops} tiled and basement (including 3 more bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room and family room) 90% finished all by my husband.

~He tells me that every decision he makes, is carefully weighed on how it will effect my life....and it's true. He doesn't put any 'unneeded' stress into my life. That's not to say life isn't stressful. :)

~He calls me his princess and thinks my body is beautiful even though it's carried and birthed 3 children and honestly, gals, doesn't look the same as it did 10 years ago when I was 19.

~He insanely thinks that he got the better end of the deal when God put us together.
