find out why

So, the family feasting and fellowshipping is pretty much over. Saturday was fun with My Beloved's side of the fam. The kids played good together. The meal turned out pretty decent. I was worried about baking a fresh (as in not store bought or pre-cooked) ham but besides it getting done WAY too early - it was yummy. Of course, that made the store bought, pre-cooked ham we ate yesterday seem nasty. Oh well.

Yesterday after a community sunrise service at 6:30am....which, I sang at - it's hard to sing at 6:30....and then brunch at our church and our service at 10am. We left for the 3 hour trek 'home'. Then dinner with the 20 of us at my Grandparent's small-ish house. Lots of food - appetizers and the meal and of course, desserts. Good stuff.

Today we will get together with our former pastor and his wife. We love them to death. It was hard to leave 2 years ago when God called us away but we're glad for the time we had with them and all we learned from them. Awesome people of God.

Then it's time to head home. The kids go back to school tomorrow - though only for a half day. So far, it looks to be a slow week. Oh, except for the 'national' holiday of my birthday on Wednesday! I'll be the perfect age of 29. Silliness that everyone holds that age in such high regard - maybe I'll find out why.

Hope that you all had a great Easter weekend with family and friends! Thanks to our Father for sending His Son to re-connect us to Himself. Amen.

Glad you had a great Resurrection Celebration! And the celebration continues daily!

So you're going to be 29! Wow, I've celebrated my 29th birthday each year for the past 10 or more years! HA! It's such a great age, I never wanted to leave it! In all seriousness, life just keeps gettin' better and better...no matter how many birthdays come and go. Love you.

So glad your holidays went well.

My mom still jokes about "29 and holding". Not sure what it's all about...I've got two more years to find out. Well, I guess a year and a half now. :-)

So how exactlt do you cook a ham that's not from the store? What does it look like? Is it the same color? Glad it turned out great. We set the kids up to watch Charlotte's web so I'm glad we ate burgers...

I'm glad you had a nice Easter. I hope the girls had a great time tormenting the boys. We had one little 9 year old boy here for three months this winter school. All of the other children here are girls, and he had a girl-phobia. Poor thing!
