Well, after that yummy spanish coffee latte on Thursday - the coffee shop was closed the rest of the weekend. Four days without internet access was enough to make me nuts - though our schedule was pretty crazy anyways. Here's a quick rundown (as if you care) of our weekend before I bail to bed.
Thursday evening we had supper with some friends. I had never really spent much time with the wife so that was cool getting to know her. After a decent night's sleep....
Friday morning we drove 45 minutes to a zoo. The highlight of my youngest daughter's weekend. Fun times. The girls and I did a little shopping in the afternoon while My Beloved spent time getting ready for the service that night. That afternoon I found out they would have childcare so I could attend the conference. That was not in the plans but a wonderful change of events! Service started at 8 and of course it was a late night. We ate supper from Whataburger at midnight.
Back at the church Saturday at 8:30am. Awesome service that made the lunch hour a little late. Next (and last service) started late, around 2:30. I think we were done around 5:30-ish. A late supper at the pastor's house and to bed late, plus that wicked 'spring forward' loss of an hour.
My Beloved preached at the church Sunday morning. Afterwards, I began to pack up the house that we made ourselves very welcome in. A long lunch and we finally hit the road around 5:30 Sunday afternoon. We had already decided to only drive a few hours and stay at a hotel so the kids could swim. (see last post) Our hotel had internet but we had a very short amount of time to use it. The drive home on Monday was a long one, with a few stops. I think we got home around 10:30pm.
Tonight, I hosted dinner for 13. So, I had to do some major grocery shopping and clean the house, as well as the supper prep. Tomorrow I try to get life back in order so I can head out to the women's conference on Thursday afternoon. I'll be gone until Saturday night late.
So, if you don't hear from me again this week - this is why! I did finally get some revelation from my OT reading. In Numbers, of all places. I hope to share a little next time. And maybe sometime I'll share some highlights of my teaching for this women's conference. Maybe.

Busy, busy, busy! But it sounds like a good kind of busy.
I'm glad to hear the conference went well. Lack of sleep just seems to go hand in hand with conferences. :-) You're speaking at the upcoming woman's conference, right? I'll be praying for you.
Wow, sounds like you had a whirl of a time. Kinda stinks about the coffee shoppe being closed the rest of the weekend. It's such a quaint little place. Hope to see you soon!
