Gayle had this over on her blog. Looked fun and I'm just sitting here in a Christmas coma.


1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

For birthdays, I like gift bags but at Christmas it's wrapping all the way. I like them nice and matchey-matchey but my kids usually mess that up. ;)

2. Real tree or Artificial?

Real. But I want a fake one to put in the basement, as a second.

3. When do you put up the tree?

We usually go get it the first weekend in December - so about then!

4. When do you take the tree down?

It stays up til New Year's, maybe longer.

5. Do you like eggnog?

Oh yeah. Especially in coffee or to make chai tea with. And the icecream is way good!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?

Honestly, I can't remember one that stands out.

7. Hardest person to buy for?

The guys of the extended family. Nephews, grandpas, dads, bro-in-laws.

8. Easiest person to buy for?

myself. ;)

9. Do you have a nativity scene?

Atleast one.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?

Usually I send a christmas letter. This year - nothin' except a Merry Christmas in our e-newsletter.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?

Drawin' a blank on this one too.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?

Most of them. The oldies, the animated ones, the new ones.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?

All depends when the money's there.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

Uh, maybe.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?

Specifically at Christmas? Dipped pretzels.

16. Lights on the tree?

For sure.

17. Favorite Christmas song?

I'm growing weary of the hymns. The fun songs are catching my ear - Santa Baby, I'll Be Home for Christmas, The Twelve Days of Christmas (Reliant K -style). Happy Christmas (vol 4) is my fave CD this year. Very untraditional.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?

Both. Home today - gone tomorrow.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Maybe. Later.

20. Angel on the tree-top or a star?

Star. A very sparkly one.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?

Both. We definitely do stockings in the morning though.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?

Stress and crabbiness. I revolted on those this year!

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?

This year I like teals, turquoises, silvers....

24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner?

Probably green bean casserole. We don't eat it any other time of the year but holidays.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?

I had no list since I had a pretty blessed year - KitchenAide, lots of new clothes, trip to DisneyWorld, second trip to Florida..... I got three new mugs though and that's always a good gift!
