We have been on the move for 12 days now, spending only 3 of those nights at home. And those nights we were at home? Two of them were after coming home around midnight. Glory.
Today I am yet away from home, typing this in the local Starbuck's. This trip is for me to share my passion and gifting, as I am leading worship for 2 nights of special meetings at our former (home) church. Last night was a powerful time with Jesus. A team from Bethel Church ministered and facilitated a flowing, Spirit-intoxicated service last night. Tonight our good ministry friend from Texas will be ministering. He always brings a fresh touch from Jesus as well.
The kids had/got to stay home for this 48 hour trip. Friends are keeping them so they could return to school after being out for 6 days. I talked to them last night and they seem quite content making the transition back into school. I'm sure most of that is because they are staying with some of the coolest people we know.
Mitch and I will return home tomorrow. He'll get 2 nights in his own bed, then fly back to Austin. While down there last week, he was asked to return to speak at a conference this weekend. He'll be away for 4 days and then return for our Thanksgiving at home. Yeah, we decided to go ahead and stay home this year! More than likely, Mitch's parents will come have dinner with us. Otherwise, it should be pretty quiet - and boring. ;)
That's our last 2 weeks in a nutshell. We have fuel receipts coming out our ears but amazingly only about 4 meal receipts. People have taken good care of us! Yeah, in fact, this trip we are staying at a nice hotel (paid for by the church), just me and My Beloved. Heavenly.
God is doing amazing things this season. We're jumpin' in with both feet. And He is faithful!

I think a "boring" Thanksgiving sounds about perfect after all THAT! WOW, I'm exhausted just reading about your schedule! ~K
