Last weekend started off with Mitch's side of the family. His parents celebrated 50 years together. What a feat! We are blessed by their faithfulness in such an unfaithful world. Both of his brothers were here - one, sans wife :( - but it was a good time anyway. We have the girls, other bro has the boys!
Mitch with his 2 brothers. When we were pregnant with Jaci, I was told, "You don't have a chance for a girl, S_______'s have boys." Well, I'm the exception aren't I? :)
Little Bird will help herself thank you very much.
Clean up, clean up, everybody do your share.
Before we parted ways, we all laid hands on Dad & Mom and blessed them. What a sacred time. Then on Sunday, I traveled down the road to my side of the family. My niece was dedicated and then showered with gifts!
Cute little family
Pastor Ron praying blessing over little Merci. I wouldn't have a guess on how many HUNDREDS of babies Pastor Ron has dedicated. And holding the baby? That's his favorite part. :) (they have 8 kids of their own)Then on to the shower.... Our home church has a tradition of hosting a shower AFTER the baby is born. One I rather like.
Mama and bebe. My fourth-born beautiful sis.
Merci with another Auntie, my third-born sis. She was just married this summer to a fantastic guy. I got me some awesome bro-in-laws!
My favorite 2 year old! Isn't he a doll? And just for fun, here's my Lil' Bird 'doing an experiment' or maybe that's TASTING an experiment.

You do have such a beautiful family (on both sides)!
I really enjoyed your pictures and I really like the idea of a shower after the baby, as well. It just seems more practical or something!
That last picture was the best! She does look like a little scientist. ~K
