'neurotic' personified

My witty pal reallyniceday came up with her own tag - go check it out. Though I think she's titled hers wrong - it seems like 8 QUIRKY things, and quirky is cute, not obnoxious. It's tons of fun and I would participate but My Beloved is not here to help me with it so I'm going to variate.
Here's a few unconventional things I think...which you quite possibly, nah, most likely would disagree with me on...but this will let you know me a little more and know that I really am neurotic as I stated in my last post.

~ I think that the modern 'crossover' vehicles contribute to the conspiracy to de-genderize the world. Neither masculine nor feminine - the newest model of vehicle is non-gender, as 'they' would like us all to be, satisfying our sexual desires with anyone, anytime. (extreme, I know but I warned ya)

~ I think that every girl should marry a chap at least 10 years older than herself. It would save a lot of marital strife. (no hate mail please)

~ I think that God enjoys watching us 'do life' - normal earthy life. We want to escape this planet while He set us on earth to subdue it. While I totally believe in the supernatural realm, I think we over-spiritualize things sometimes.

~ I think that home-school vs. public school is way too big of a debate. The devil uses this (and other) minor issue to distract us from establishing God's Kingdom in our world.

~ I am more convicted by reading "Make Way for Ducklings" than most parenting books. I think Mrs. Mallard is an amazing mother and we can learn much from her.

~ I don't think that piercings, tattoos, torn jeans, dresses, tightly bunned hair, funky hair cuts, fake-looking smiles, or even the words, "I wanna thank God..." prove or disprove anything about a person's heart.

The End.

In other thoughts...
My Beloved returns home tomorrow evening! We're looking forward to having our king-daddy back though it's been a really good week - a testament to the amazing grace of our God. We've been able to talk to him almost daily through Skype which makes life easier too.

This means after 40 days of fasting and having an absent husband (whether in body or spirit) I will be cooking real meals again and having an 'ever present' husband. Yay!

Time to get the kids from school...

Hey girl! Enjoy your man's homecoming. I'm happy for you all! :)

Did you update your sidebar or am I slow to notice things? Either way, looks great!

I am particularly fond of the last one, since I have a tattoo, (or two) from years past. If only more people thought like you!

Fun tag...I particularly liked what you had to say about over-spiritualizing life, the ps/hs debate and the way we judge a persons heart. Great thoughts. and happy homecoming to you guys!

So call me slow, Cars are different genders? Is there a way to tell which gender my car is? Say I wanted a "girl" but, unbeknownst to me, I purchased a boy. Are there any gender altering parts or accessories to acquiesce folks like me? What does having one or the other say about your personality type? What if I've given mine a "girl" name and she's really a boy? Is there counseling involved?

Just a thought.

Glad the man is home by now! We want to hear stories! Love the post. Hate the hs/ps debate. Love the "marry a chap 10 yrs older". Hannah always told Lydi to marry someone at least 25 yrs old, cause anyone younger doesn't know anything! Well, Chris is younger...but he's taller. Should I be concerned? :) Love you guys.

Nah, you shouldn't be concerned about Lydia. It's obvious my theory doesn't play out in every situation. Taller equals 10 years I'm sure! :)

I totally agree with #4 and 6. #1 was odd, and sounded like something I would say. I have a theory that Republicans have bigger heads than Democrats. It's actually quite well thought out and most people end up agreeing with my insanity once I'm done sharing my "theory". Yup.. I can be a "bit" out there. So here's a question. What if the car that God gave me was one of those hybrids???
As always a great post. Neurotic? Maybe. But that's what makes you one of my favorite bloggers! ~Karlie

Hey, like I told Mary a couple comments back - all my theories don't play out in every situation. I just have weird thoughts... Enjoy your God-given 'girly/man' car! :)

This cracked me up. My thoughts? since I know you're so holding your breath to hear them and all.

Yep. Homeschooling debate among Christians is ridiculous. We actually had a handful of people leave our church b/c they wouldn't say H.S. was THE way to go. *insanity* People...it's called the Holy Spirit. Ask Him what He wants you to do with your kiddos.

Yep. can't judge people's heart/devotion to Christ through outward appearance. Look at Todd Bentley. If I met him in a dark alley, I'd pee myself. YET the fruit in his life...the miraculous that God does through him...it's amazing. BUT I do wish people would smile more. Christians look so serious too often...lighten up people. We've all the reason in the world to be joyful.

So yeah. My 2 cents worth.
The whole car thing went *poof* straight over my head. 10 years older? I think just marry someone who has their head out of their rear and have been weaned off of their pacifier for at least 20 years. THAT tends to help in the whole leading a family thing. But...maybe age helps too? ;)
