That is an excellent post! Thank you for bringing my attention to it. I have been thinking a lot about how Israel created a god in their own image and just what that meant... I am coming to believe that they took God and made a recreation of the thought of who He is into something that would fit into their lifestyle, their "box". We have done that in the West, making Him distant, aloof, unaffected - anything but the passionate Lover that he is. God forgive our nation for making a god in our own image. God forgive us for reducing Your uncreated self into a jigsaw puzzle and being arrogant enough to try to "work" the puzzle ourselves and figure out all of Your ways!
