heading out

In just a little over an hour, my girls and I are heading 'home' for the weekend. (It's not really home anymore, just where alot of my family is - home is where I am now, where my hubby is!) It's a rarity that we take off and leave My Beloved alone. In fact, it's a rarity that he takes off alone. But this is such a weekend.

We'll get in at bedtime tonight and then hit the ground running through Sunday. A bunch of us girls (I have a BIG family) will go garage sale-ing in the morning, bright and early, after skimming through the ads at a local coffee shoppe.

Then a quick lunch with my grandparents before getting ready for a {week early} birthday party for my youngest. Then supper at my parents house before heading over to swim at my aunts.

Sunday will be church at our old church (it's linked but their website is not a reflection of the quality of ministry they really are- great quality and they've grown to over 600 or 700 in the last 10 years) that My Beloved was associate pastor at for 8 years. (fond memories) With some catching up, I'm sure.

In the afternoon is a 25th Anniversary Open House for our pastors. More fellowship and food. Then we gotta get home as the girls have *Jumpstart beginning Monday morning at 9am.

Fun times, folks!

* Jumpstart is 5 mornings of summer school. Kind of a brief review before school actually starts in about 4 weeks.

May you have a blessed weekend! It sounds fabulous. God created us for fellowship - so may your time with family and old friends be sweet.
