Today is a day of consecration for us. (see my post at my other blog) As I've been listening to the newest Hillsong United CD lately - which you just HAVE to get - I've been hit with the strongest sense of Jesus every time it plays. I love and could quote several of the songs off there but here's one that particularly resonates with my soul today. I'm just bummed that ccli.com hasn't posted the chords to these brand new songs yet. Guess I might have to break down and buy the darn book so I can bring these to our 'worship table' at church. Anyways, here's Lead Me to the Cross.....so beautiful and amazing. (you can listen to a tiny bit of the song at the above link)
Saviour I come, quiet my soul
Remember redemption's hill
Where Your Blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as loss
Lead me to the cross
Where Your Love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
O lead me lead me to the cross
You were as I tempted and tried human
The Word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now You're risen
To Your Heart lead me to Your Heart

Can't wait to get the CD!
Sounds great! Very poignant lyrics! I'm always on the look-out for new worship music. It's been a long time since I got a Hillsong CD.
How 'bout you work that up for Sunday? :)
Those words are beautiful. I always love it when my heart truly worships to a song.
thanks for sharing...looks to be an excellent addition to the cd collection...beautiful meaning to the words.
if you have a moment I tagged you for a restaurant meme-no pressure...play if you feel like "playing ;-)"
