the mother instinct

Let me say that I'm not a pet person. I don't enjoy hairy things touching me, especially ones that have been outside. Or ones that are inside shedding their little hairs all over a home. Just my opinion, I still love you if you have pets. That said....

Today a new member joined our family. Let's just say Daddy is easily wrapped around little girls' fingers, we live in rural America with lots of room to run and everybody has pets. As much as I disputed the new arrival, she is fast becoming a good friend of mine - call it the mother instinct, I can't despise a baby.

So, it's after 11am and I'm still sitting here in my jammies with my first cuppa coffee. I have a wonderful husband who let me sleep in while he got the kids up and to school. As fab as the last 2 weeks have been, they have been draining with little sleep each night. I'm again beginning to feel like the superwoman I am - HA!

Well, the shower is calling me and my greasy hair - so long!

I have always objected to having pets for the same reasons you listed. But Jeremy is now on the bandwagon and I just know I will be out-voted soon.

Having said that, the kitty sure is a cutie!! :-)

Ahhh, so cute. It's all about things coming in small sizes....mini water bottles, 10 oz soda cans, purse sized lotions, handbags...kittens. They all capture our attention.

Mini marketing is for women. Good thing he went with a kitten, eh?
