first attempt

I just noticed that my last post was my 100th - Happy Birthday to me....I mean to my blog!

Today is our first full day without a man in the house. Sigh. So far, we're good though. My sister arrived last night to stay the weekend. She's awesome. Actually tonight she's cooking dinner for us. Lasagna, yum. She and the girls made cookies this afternoon while I spent some prep time on my message. The girls love making cookies with her because she lets them eat all the dough they want. I tell them that's what aunts are for - not mommies!

What will make this week bearable is a wonderful piece of technology called 'skype'. I can talk free of charge to my hubby through the internet. It's fabulous!

So, tomorrow is the big day. My first attempt at preaching. Let God be honored.

Be expecting God to work through you. God will enable you to do well. Be at Peace.

very exciting! - its good to be stretched and be in the place where you can't do it on your own, yeah? I'll be praying for you tomorrow, hopefully. (don't you love my disclaimer? - I plan on it... but then I am pregnant and forgetful! :) )

I am confident you hear God and that He is wanting you to use you. SO whether things go good or bad in your eyes, I'm sure He'll receive glory for that which He's orchestrating.

I've been praying for you all weekend! I trust that God was glorified and the church was challenged and encouraged. I wondered how you were going to preach and get 3 kids to church with no hubby! So good your sister was able to come!

There are several people here that use skype. It just looks a little funny when someone is leaned over their laptop talking into it :)

Yeah, you should see me now - I'm actually on the floor bowing to my computer. My Beloved, on the other hand, has a cool headset so he just looks like a professional.
