It's been 3 years since we've had an infant in our arms around this house. I'm not complaining, though I thank my friends who are having babies that I can hold. :o)
Now that my 2 big kids are in school, I rarely do any major shopping trips with more than one child. Let me tell you, that is a HUGE difference from the days when I wouldn't dare venture out of my driveway with 3 toddler/infants in tow, without my husband. I just couldn't 'do' 3 kids by myself - shoot, who am I kidding, I couldn't take one baby shopping by myself without fussing about it. The thought is overwhelming to me still.
Today I saw Super-Mom - I'm serious, the real Super-Mom. This lady, in a good-sized city's Wal-Mart, had a pregnant belly and was pushing 2 carts. One being for groceries and the other with 2 kiddos in it. The kicker is, she was calm! She laughed with her kids, she didn't look stressed - she was amazing! She was truckin' along list in hand - the one pushing the cart for groceries.
Who knew Super-Mom really existed?!?!!? I had a suspicion and I knew it wasn't me. Well, I saw her today - sailing along in a Christmas-is-coming crowded Wal-Mart. Amazing.

I always feel real good (proud, darn it) when i'm cruising along with the crew and see a mom with one really outta control 3-4 year old. Sorry for her. Great for me. Is this a problem?
Wow! I wish I could relate, but I can't. LOL I don't shop with kids without my hubby, and I much prefer to shop by myself or with a girlfriend. My littles are 10 months, 2, 4 and 6 and I just don't have the guts to do it by myself!!
I have a friend like that! She has 5 little ones, and she constantly amazes me with her day to day duties. I am the same as you, if hubby doesn't go, I don't go! Thanks for the encouragment about moving! It's nice to know someone else moved at this time of year, I thought we might be the only crazy ones.
