my "food" for the day

"Seek, inquire of and for the Lord
and crave Him and His strength

(His might and inflexibility to temptation),
seek and require His face

and His presence continually evermore."

Psalms 105:4 (Amplified)

Hi! This is a great BLOG! I am enjoying it. I never thought about using the homeschool blog as a "nice" non-confrontational version of me... to late. He-he.

About your previous post, I'd like to hear more! You said that a key message was "Survival is not the goal of the church". I'd love to hear your take on this (being a pastor and all). We belong to a great church...very biblically sound, but they are on this "super church" kick right now. They desire to grow to mammoth proportions (or at least as mammoth as possible in a town of 10,000). What that looks like so far is more "programs" that burn members out (they tell us to be like Mary, but require Martha)and segregate age groups (family time is not valued). A lack of accountability (how do you know if someone is not at church if you don't know them?)It's not looking like an Acts church right now. I know their desire is to save souls, but it feels like this growth will only allow for self preservation. What do you think? What's your opinion on mega churches? I'd really value your opinion. Thanks! ~Countrymomof4
