Well, this worship leader hacked a little but not bad. And the preacher? He didn't bark a bit. Call it the anointing or whatever you want, but that man led a song and preached a message and didn't let out a bit of a growl. It wasn't til we got home that I heard any barking. Lucky him.
Things are definitely looking up though, I napped again yesterday for the seventh day straight. And I AM NOT a napper. I will be glad when I am back to my zippy self. Or snippy self or whatever.
So let's turn our attention to the looming holiday....Valentine's Day! We have a running tradition (one of our very few traditions) to have a nice family dinner on Valentine's Day. I usually write love letters to each of my girls and Mitch buys them little gifts.
Then Mitch and I usually chose another night - one easier to get a sitter and one easier to find a nice place to sit without waiting til midnight - to go enjoy each other's company without shrieking children. This year, we're going out tomorrow - dinner and a movie. We don't usually do a whole lot with gifts but a card and/or something small is usually in order.
What are your V-Day plans?

Your tradition sounds fun!
Thinking we'll either go out tonight or tomorrow just the two of us. Then on V-Day my mom will be staying the night with us; she doesn't have a "Valentine" so we're going to try to make the evening extra special for her!
I actually really like Valentine's Day, but I never plan anything.
I am probably going to make a heart-shaped chocolate cake with strawberry frosting and red sprinkles for dessert and that's about all.
We're similar; little gifts for everyone; dinner with the fam. We usually eat red stuff. I think last year we had spaghetti with red sauce and Scott made some alfredo sauce, so we mixed some pink sauce up. ;) We try for dates on other nights, too. Vday is too complicated to go out! :)
What a sweet tradition! I was never raised to be the sentemental type, but now that I am older and little wiser, I know how important traditions are. I just wish these things came easier to me. I have little imagination!
What a fun tradition! This year Valentine's is leaving the kids and being with a bunch of jr. high girl's and a couple of guys. Thursday night is our normal jr. high youth group night, so we are doing a sappy movie jeopardy game. We got a carnation for each of the girls and we are having cup cakes and of course little heart candy. Not a romantic night with my man but we should have fun anyway!
