The new brunette that is me. It may be unwise to make such a big decision {such as changing your hair color} while you are fasting. And even more so, it may be unwise to surprise your husband with your new hair color while HE is fasting. Call me unwise. I am now brunette, atleast for 6 weeks.
I'm pretty excited about today. I'm having coffee with a 'newfound' spiritual mother. Actually, it's a woman I've known for years {13-ish} and have admired as a strong woman of God. But a couple months ago, while she was praying over me, she told me she felt like God was saying that she was to be my spiritual mother. I concur.
I've never really had a close mentor, besides my mother mentoring me in the ways of homemaking. There's several women I look at as Godly examples and have gleaned much from them but I'm skittish about bearing my soul to many. In fact, I can count on one hand (probably 2 fingers- one being My Beloved) those I would tell almost anything too. I don't have highschool girlfriends or college buddies. Though I come from a family with many children and 5 girls before ANY boys were born, I'm not terribly close to any of them. Not that I hide behind a false 'face', I just don't get too close.
All that to say, I am excited to have a divine connection with a woman I both trust and respect in the faith. I'm looking forward to fellowship with laughter and maybe tears and for sure growth in my love for Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus, for those who are further along in this journey who can impart wisdom into my life.

I love the brown hair. It becomes you.
LOVE your hair! Brunettes are so "in" right now. Thank goodness, because blonde is so hard to maintain for those of us who have nary a natural hint of the stuff.
I have often longed for a spiritual mentor, but none has ever offered. Plus, I wonder if the rubber ever met the road (so to speak) if I would submit to it?
Love your new hair! I just changed my color too. It looks really great on you!
You look beautiful! I've done the blond thing for awhile, but always go back to what God gave me... until I go grey that is!
I have had a spritual mentor before. She was a gift from God! Even now (she's moved on as have I) I will call her or e-mail with a big issue. She's always there for me.
Hmm, I was thinking of getting blond highlights this Spring.... but I second what Gayle says about the maintenance. ~Karlie
Blonds and brunettes...
I am a true brunette but have had highlights and different color changes for so long that I had to ask my stylist what my true color is. She said it's about what we just colored it - who woulda thought? :)
You'd look beautiful if you had purple hair! I love the brown.
I'm so excited for you and your new mentor and heart friend! I'm praising God for His gift to you! Wanna pray one up for me?
Welcome back to brunette! I have to say- you pic reminds me of a face from long ago...I love it!
How exciting about your blessing for God...your spiritual Mother.
Unbelievable. You are one of those rare women who look amazing as a blond AND a brunette. Trying hard not to be jealous over here. ;)
Fasting going well?
Fun hair! I like brown.. but then again I like all things brown: hair, chocolate, eyes, chocolate, clothing, decor, chocolate.. you get the idea. :)
Yeah.. I've never really had a mentor before. That would be nice. Really nice. Enjoy yours and remember growth only really comes when you are honest (with yourself first). ;)
Love your new color, it looks very natural and makes you look radiant. You are such a pretty girl!
How great that you will have this woman's heart and she yours...may you both be blessed!
Praise God for changes in the physical and in the spiritual!
