the traditional Thanksgiving list

So, I started running again. I discovered I actually enjoy running...well, jog/walk/jogging....anyway I discovered this a couple years ago. Problem is, it's one of those things that I somehow forget that I like doing. So, we'll see how long this phase lasts. I bet until it gets frigid cold here in the mid-west. Can't stand being cold.

On another note, Thanksgiving is coming so I've found others reminiscing on things they are thankful for. I have an incredibly blessed life so things I'm thankful for are easy to find. Top of the list has to be God's Faithfulness. I find Him forever faithful - even when I am not. So cliche, I know, but oh, so true. Here's a few other things I'm thankful for...

  • My husband, who bought me the dishes I really, really had to have.
  • My 3 year old who wonders if she'll ever be "bigger"
  • My 5 year old who makes me laugh my butt off
  • My 8 year old who rolls her eyes like she's 18
  • My 3600+ sq.ft. home that desperately needs cleaned right now
  • The hunter green Ford Explorer that's sitting in my garage - my dream family car...honestly
  • My good friend who always challenges me to press deeper into Jesus - even when she doesn't know she's doing it
  • A Starbuck's Maple macchiato - in a 'to stay' mug

I just found out you could get a "real" mug at the coffee houses. Sweet! I've decided that I am also very thankful for fruit (limes!!!) since being in a place that doesn't really eat it....to much. I like going to the bathroom also. Is that too much info? ;)

If I'm not mistaken, the last time I got a real mug at Starbuck's they said something about a in-store discount. Maybe they pay me to use a real cup instead of drinking out of cardboard!?!?

Hmmm...it kind of makes sense that it would cost them less for you to use a washable cup, rather than a disposable.

Happy Thanksgiving! Ours is in October, so we're done with turkey..at least until Christmas anyway. :-)

About the Hillsongs Kids...we have the "jesus you're my superhero" dvd, which my kids STILL love and it's almost two years old! They've been after me to get the new one. I think it's called "super strong God" or something like that anyway.
